I came down to my office a couple of weeks ago and found this kind gift. It was instantly both touching and inspiring. I have worn it almost every day since. The #BigLife necklace arrived on a day I needed a lift, at a time when my vision was a little blurred. The necklace was a surprise from a friend and colleague (thank you Angie — see last week’s post about friends) who has been encouraging me on my BLV journey. In addition, it feeds into one of my personal practices about vision.
If you are wondering where you can get a necklace inscribed with your vision statement for yourself, read on….
To keep vision central in my life I like to keep it visually in my life. I have practical and functional components of vision-centered living all around me. A CurlyGirl calendar on my desk at work. StoryPeople daily emails, Facebook feeds and a kitchen calendar (I really love StoryPeople). I keep received thank-you cards on my desk to remind me of the work I do. These are just a few examples of surrounding myself with vision.
Most recently I purchased a simple pad with tear off quotes at the bottom of each page. I have enjoyed leaving notes for my sons each morning on this pad. Sometimes I point out the quote and sometimes I leave the message for them to discover.
The necklace, the pad, emails, calendars are all ways that I keep inspired and they have all been enhanced lately by you. You have no idea the smile on my face when comments show up on the feed, or likes on FB or Twitter or someone just stopping by and saying “I like your blog.” So thank you for the continued inspiration.
