All doors open...

All doors open…

When my dad passed in 1996, he and I were both reading A Year in Provence. I could imagine along with the words on the pages the smell of the lavender, the earthy taste of the cheese, the layers of the wine. The book took me to France, but I had never been off the continent. Until the age of 40, when I cashed in my air miles and determined to make it happen. And the experience still lives in my spirit.

I had a vision of being in France. What it would look like, smell like, taste like. But I’ll never forget the moment, after a long flight in coach, a long wait in the train station, and many miles of train tracks, I saw what I had been imagining. It played out just like Peter Mayle described it. The rolling hills, the land filled with flowers and grapes, the stone cottage on the hill and I just started crying. Even writing this now, I tear up.

With my SO by my side we breathed into the experience and it was magic.

We leave again for France tomorrow. This time I get to introduce my sons to Europe for the first time. I am running the #ParisMarathon. We have friends from all over the world joining us at various points of the trip. And to cap it off I have been invited to a work event in Barcelona at the end of the trip, so I guess we have to go to Spain too. OMG – how did I pull this off?

Simple, BigLifeVision.

But travel is a big part of my vision and so I put the intention out there.  As the months passed things began to take shape. Other friends were interested in joining us. Our trip happened to connect with the boys’ spring break. We found a great #Airbnb for our stay.

Another living example that the thing you focus on is where your energy goes, AND is the thing you can make happen.

So I am off, for the trip of a #BigLifeVision lifetime.

Where are your intentions lately. Are they focused on the things you most want to happen? Share your success, ask for support, or get inspired…either way.

Are you living your BigLifeVision?
